Hunter Insurance Solutions was established in 1989 by Paul Hunter. Paul Hunter recognized a need for specialised advice for areas above the 26th parallel and in 1993 Paul moved the business to Karratha Western Australia. The business was initially focused on clients in the North West of WA and this is an area in which we still have a significant number of clients. In 2006 an office in Perth was established and Paul relocated back to Perth in 2009. Today the clients we service are Australia Wide.

Our aim is to provide a personal approach getting to know our clients, to earn their trust no matter how small or large their insurance needs are. We ensure our clients are provided with the correct insurance for their needs at a competitive price.

Paul Hunter

Principal

Starting in the insurance industry at the age of 18, I started at the very bottom and learned so much, from a lot of great people. At the tender age of 22, I was driven to offer a more personalised approach to advice, so decided to leave the security of a constant wage for the challenge of running my own business. I never looked back and grew exponentially over the following years, before branching out into Financial Services and Retail businesses, but my passion has always been insurance and the understanding of what it takes to be properly covered. Now we are part of the largest broking network in Australia, with access to well over 100 insurers and specialist underwriting agencies. Being self-employed I have a real life understanding of small to medium business and what confronts them. We really are a “people” business and the client always comes first and when things go awry, we are there standing side by side in your time of need. Outside of work, I enjoy golf, boating & fishing, as well as spending time with the family. Working towards a work/life balance, it’s definitely, a work in progress!

Jo Norton

Insurance Broking Manager

Jo has been in the insurance broking industry for 20 years and during that time she has looked after all types of clients from mums and dads with their homes and small business, to large global clients. Jo prides herself on the service she provides and is willing to go into battle with insurers to get the best outcome for your business in the event of a claim.

Outside of work Jo is a volunteer Scout Leader and is an active member of a 4wd Club where they regularly participate in service work for the community.

Peta Lillywhite

Account Executive

Peta has been working in the Insurance Industry for over 22 years and has experience with looking after Corporate, Commercial and Domestic clients. Peta prides herself in helping everyone find the right insurance cover whilst providing outstanding customer service with a smile. No task is ever too big or small for Peta to tackle, and aims to please all her clients by meeting all their individual needs.

Chiara Parente

Chiara has been involved in the Insurance Industry since 2008 when she started off in Motor Claims. Since then Chiara has become an Account Executive managing Domestic and Commercial portfolios. Coming from a claims background she understands both sides of insurance. Chiara shows attention to detail and is straight forward ensuring that her clients understand their coverage and that they are looked after in all aspects of their insurance. Chiara prides herself on her service to her clients and is willing to negotiate with underwriters for policy coverage and if required battle with insurers for the best claim outcome.

When Chiara is not in the office she enjoys doing Muay Thai, going to the beach, camping and fishing, shopping and hanging out with family and friends.
